Las Vegas, A.K.A the sin city. It has been over a century since the city was used for the rest area for the groups who are traveling  from Arizona to California. People started to settle down after a mission had been built. In 1905, the settlement founded in Las Vegas after the railroad opening from salt Lake City to Los Angeles. Las Vegas was a stopover place for the railroad. In 1931, with the start of the building of Hoover Dam, many people started to settle here. The mafia moved in and the mafia influence lasted until Howard Hughes helped turned the the town in to a family tourist center, now classified as a Mega resort.
Las Vegas hosts more than 40 million visitors each year bringing 50 billion dollars to the city. The convention revenue is 6 billion dollars per year.

*Over 22,000 conventions are held in Las Vegas every year.
*Legalization of gambling in 1931 encouraged other parts of the country to request the recall of Nevada’s statehood. *Today there are forms of legalized gambling in 48 of the 50 states.
*Las Vegas is home to more than half of the 20 largest hotels in the world.
*There are more than 150 casinos and at least 150,000 hotel/motel rooms in the Las Vegas valley area.
*Gaming/gambling generally accounts for slightly over 43 percent of Las Vegas casinos' revenue. The balance is generated from rooms, food and beverages. Dining and shopping have become major components of the Las Vegas experience.
*Downtown's Golden Gate is the oldest continuously operating hotel and casino in Las Vegas; it opened in 1906 as Hotel Nevada.
*Over 22,000 conventions are held in Las Vegas every year.
*It takes a person 280 years to stay overnight in each room of all of the hotels in las vegas
*You have to take at least 30000 steps in Las Vegas Strip to discover.
*Actually there are may be five hotels with interesting interior that would draw your attention. The rest could be viewed from outside.
*New York Hotel; There are many restaurants, piano bars that you would enjoy.

Bellagio was the most luxurious hotel built and sold by Steve Wynn who then built the next most luxurious hotels, Wynn and Encore that costed more than 5 billion dollars in 2005. At the front of the Bellagio Hotel, there is a huge pool with water fountains.At Bellagio, more than a thousand fountains dance in front of the hotel, enhanced by music and light. The display spans more than 1,000 feet with water soaring as high as 460 feet into the air. Monday - Friday: Fountain Show is every 30 minutes 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and every 15 minutes from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am. You might want to see the best Cirque de Soleil Show, “O Show”. There are 2 performances 5 times a week, Wednesday to Sunday. There are 7:00 pm and 9:30 shows. If you can not make it to O show, you might want to see KA show which is also a Cirque de Soleil performance which is at The MGM Grand.
On the Strip, The Forum Shops of The Caesars hotel is also a must see. With its sky ceiling and cobblestone streets, and wonderful restaurants ,you will enjoy your time at this shopping center.
Next you should  visit The Venitian Hotel. In front of the hotel, you will come across Piazza San Marco. They Actually built the Piazza . In the hotel, on the second floor, they built a canal. From then casino you will take the escalator to Grand Canal shops where you can actually take Gondola Ride. At the end of the canal, you might enjoy the restaurants and ice cream.
Wynn Hotel is also a must see place. It is the most luxurious hotel along with Encore Hotel that is next to it. There is actually a Ferrari Show Room inside the hotel. You should visit The Lake Side Cafe and enjoy your drink by the man-made lake with animations.
If you want to do Shopping, you should visit The North Premuim Outlet. With its 190 different brands and not mention the Cheese Cake Factory Restaurant, you will enjoy shopping at the outlet.
You may also try The Fashion Show Mall which is located across from Wynn Hotel. And do not forget to eat at The Maggiano’s Little Italy that is located at the second floor. Highly Recommended.
The best night clubs of US are in Las Vegas. The Surrender is located in Wynn Hotel, The Omnia is located in Caesars Hotel, The Marquee night club is located in The Cosmopolitan hotel, Tao Night Club is in Palazzo Hotel. You must call ahead and have yourself added to the “Guest List” of the club you want to go to. Otherwise you might wait in line for a long time to get in to the club.
If you go to Las Vegas, you have to visit The Grand Canyon. It takes 2 hrs to get there. You may have an option to take a tour with the busses that runs every 5 minutes , by the Hualapai tribe, from one point to another where you will view the canyon from 2 different points. Or you may add a helicopter and boat experience on Colorado river.
Always take extra cash with you to Vegas to gamble. They say “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”.
Well,  most of the time it is also said for the money you take to Vegas.
